THE
FRIENDSHIP FOREST "May our friendships grow!"
On July 11, 1995
we planted a tree native to Turkey in honor of the visiting ambassadors from Izmir, Turkey. That tree, a Carob, or St. John's Bread, was the beginning of our Friendship Forest. For each of these visiting clubs from other countries, we have planted another tree that would flourish in their homeland. We view the Forest as a living, growing symbol of friendship among nations.
The Friendship
Forest is located in: Emma Prusch
Farm Park 647 South King Road near Story Road
San Jose, California 95116
|
 For
each inbound exchange, we plant a tree in
our Friendship Forest in their honor.
|
Each
tree we plant is identified by a plaque stating that the tree is:
"planted in honor of the visit to the San Francisco Bay Area
of the [inbound club's name] chapter of the Friendship
Force.
May our friendship grow!"
