Howard Cornell Reid Howard was born in Ontario Canada and raised as a young boy during the depression years in the small town of Lawson, Saskatchewan. After graduating from High School he served in the Canadian Military during the final year of World War II. He served briefly in both the Royal Canadian Air force and then transferred to the Canadian Army, Tank corps. After the war Howard worked for the Canada National Railroad as a telegraph operator. Howard and family moved to Sunnyvale California in 1970 where all three sons (Greg, Jeff, Robert) graduated from Fremont High School, Sunnyvale. Howard always had a very active community service life. His service to others ranged from serving as an Election poll worker for many years, serving the Presbyterian church, assisting the Boy Scouts of America, and giving the gift of life as a multi-gallon blood donor.
